Weekend breaks Herefordshire, Hereford & around

We have a purpose built training course where 16 year olds are able to learn to move off, stop, change gear and steer an accurate course, as well as how to approach and emerge from junctions. Learning on our course at 16 can speed up the time it takes you to pass your theory and practical test when you do finally turn 17. Many of our customers combine a drive at 16 training course with weekend breaks, allowing parents some time to relax and 16 year olds the chance to experience driving a vehicle for the first time.

Short breaks Herefordshire for parents & teenagers

While your son or daughter has their driver training, you can spend the weekend visiting the local area with its various beautiful attractions, which are perfect as weekend breaks or as short breaks. And once your child has finished you can all celebrate at one of the areas local restaurants.

Our training course is based in Hereford (please see map on the right of this page) Herefordshire is a beautiful County and has much to offer with its un spoilt countryside, market towns and historic buildings. Great places to visit during short breaks in Hereford include:

Hereford Cathedral - The cathedral of St Mary the Virgin and St Ethelbert the King

The Chained Library - a library where the books are attached to their bookcase by a chain, This practice was usual in the Middle Ages and up until the 18th century, when books were extremely valuable.

Mappa Mundi - the largest medieval map known to still exist, currently on display in Hereford Cathedral.

The Black & White Trail - The Black and White Trail takes you on a journey through the beautiful black and white villages of Herefordshire, covering 40 miles in all.

Ludlow Castle - Originally a Norman fortress, which was then extended over the centuries becoming a fortified Royal Palace, Ludlow Castle is the finest of medieval ruined castles.

The Cider Museum - Visit Hereford's Cider Museum to learn about the history of making cider and how the apples were milled, pressed and fermented to produce cider.

Eastnor Castle - Set in the Malvern Hills and surrounded by a deer park, lake and arboretum - This castle is the home of the Hervey-Bathurst family.

Set your theory test date for your 17th birthday

We also have a purpose built classroom where we prepare you for the theory and hazard perception tests, which will enable you to set your test on your 17th birthday.

What is included?

The driving courses consist of 8x3hour modules, which will be split between in-car and classroom training. Our multi-purpose training area will enable you to learn the controls of the car, moving off, stopping, changing gear, steering an accurate course, approaching and emerging from junctions.

Further Information

• Training is available on Saturdays and Sundays
• Each module lasts 3 hours, 9:00am-12:00pm or 12:30pm-15:30pm
• Each module costs £45.00
• When you buy any module you will receive a voucher for a full hour lesson with GT School of Motoring (you will receive a 2 hour lesson and only pay for 1 hour). Please note only 1 free hour per pupil
• If all 8 modules are purchased, when you start your lessons with GT School of Motoring, we will book and pay for your Theory Test.
